TIC and people majors, a symbiosis with great possibilities of business
In 2020 the quarter of the European will have more than 65 years
A group with special difficulties to use the new technologies of the information and the communication (TIC) is the one of the people majors. But indeed these are, also, those that are at readiness to extract of them high productivity.
In this attitude the directed initiatives are placed to create applications and tools whose objective is to facilitate the unfolding of the old ones by themselves. And those initiatives count on an important support: the one of the European Union.
Brussels has made numbers and has reached a conclusion: with a 25 percent of people majors of 65 years in 2020, in the next decades the cost in pensions, health and attendance will increase between a 4 and 8 percent of the GIP. In 2050 that cost it will have been tripled.
The perspective forces to take measures that help to palliate that necessity of payment of the different States. Against this background the aid of 150 million Euros is placed that the EU will unite to 450 million already anticipated for investigation in this field.
The idea is that the companies create digital products destined to improve the life of the people majors in their houses. One is services with a high degree of innovation directed to obtain, thanks to his creation, three objectives:
1. Different the system from health and social services would secure a significant saving.
2. Around the question of the aging of Europe the TIC would obtain a strong industrial axis.
3. The people majors could enjoy a greater quality of life.
To the will of the EU the one of the Member States is united. Altogether, between the national Commission, Governments and the private sector the joint investment in this area will be of 1,000 million Euros. In that amount they are including, also, 400 million Euros coming from Séptimo Programa Marco (VIIPM).
The rest is to the creativity of the companies. Movable solutions for monitoring of the vital constants, devices of easy use on the part of the majors, or remote health or alarm systems are only some of the possibilities that appear in the horizon.
