The implantation of the TIC in the SMEs, holds to five parameters standard
The companies base their decisions on pursuit criteria, compatibility, obedience, costs and abilities
The TIC constitutes a key piece in the chassis of the Spanish enterprise weave. In just a short time, they have left its renovador paper like gearshift to become the motor that pushes the companies towards the competitiveness and the yield.
The success will depend on the criteria that consider at the time of implanting the new technologies. The decision making will be influenced by factors of all type, like the economic context, the policy of expenses, the sector of activity or the size of the company/signature.
These considerations have been analyzed by e-business Center PwCenter&IESE, within the project of Business collaboration and Information Technologies in which they have participated near 200 national SMEs.
Their conclusions allow to establish five parameters standard on the criteria that orient to the small ones and medians companies of Spain at the time of confronting a process of technological adoption.
- Effect herd. With a 25 percent of followers, it is the extended conduct more. In this case, the companies consider the majority opinion of the sector, are guided by the decisions of third parties by fear to commit errors.
- Compatibility of the systems and independence in front of the suppliers. The objective is to diminish the risks at the same time as it is acted with autonomy, a solution for which pleads the 21 percent of the survey ones.
- Obedience. The 19 percent of the companies prioritizes their prestige in front of any other variable. For that reason, their activities are marked by factors like the opinion of the directive cupola or the reputation of the suppliers.
- Costs. Another 19 percent, of more traditional character, is guided by the expenses that can cause the introduction of the TIC in the organization. They assure to consider the technical characteristics of the new processes, but not as much its impact in the work routines.
- Abilities. The pursuit of this conduct happens to take care of the own experience and knowledge of the personnel in technological matter, although also to satisfy desires with its clients. It is the option of the 16 percent of the interviewed people.
